Hello all, today I have with me Cassandra Carr. She is currently on tour for three of her books. I was able to do an interview with her that I hope you enjoy!

Welcome to Leilani Loves Books! Please tell us a little about yourself.

I'm a writer, mom, and wife. I live in Western New York and I've been writing since 2008. I've sold a total of seven books. Four are out right now and the next three will come out by the end of April. In my spare time, I hang out on Twitter, read, and watch Sabres games.

You are on tour for three books, Impact, Caught, and Head Games. Can you tell us a little about them?

Sure! Impact is coming out on February 1st. The hero is a professional bull rider AND a Dom. He's hiding that fact he's a Dom from everybody, though, because he doesn't think the bull riding tour would take it well if they found out. Then he meets a girl on tour who is a natural submissive. She wants him to train her, but he refuses. Despite that he's not able to stay away from her and sexy hi-jinks ensue. ;-) Impact is book 1 in the Buckin' Bull Riders series. Book 2, Collision, is sold to Ellora's Cave too and should be out by the end of April or early May.

Caught came out on December 6, 2011. It's a holiday-themed novella with a heavy BDSM theme. This book is more intense and edgy than anything else I've ever written, but it's been getting very good reviews which I'm thrilled about. It follows Callie, a submissive who left her Dom Jack three years ago. They're reunited at a holiday party and begin their D/s relationship again. But even as they have explosive BDSM scenes Callie isn't sure Jack can give her what she really wants - his heart.

Head Games is book 1 in the Buffalo Intimidators series. It's a m/f/m menage. The entire series, which is about a hockey team, features menage pairings. Leo and Scott, the two heroes, are the goaltenders for the Intimidators. They meet Kelly, who owns a local bistro, and decide they want a permanent menage relationship with her. But convincing her that it's possible is another matter entirely.

Can you tell us what you think is the difference between a romance and erotic book? And why do you chose to write the genre you do?

An erotic romance uses the sex between the hero and heroine to advance the plot-it's central to the plot, in fact. In a romance, the h/h can have sex, but they don't fall in love through the sex as much as they do in erotic romance.

With all of your fantastic characters, which male character did you have the most fun to write and what's your favorite line he says?

Oh gosh. I love my heroes! My favorite hero overall is Sebastian, from my first (and as of yet unpublished) book. However, I'd have to say Conner from Impact was my favorite hero to write. He's incredibly sexy and he's got that Alpha/Dom thing going on that makes him very yummy. A favorite line of his? Hmmmm. It's two lines, but here's one sequence I love:
Tell me you believe me. Tell me you believe I love you.

Which was your favorite female to write and the best line she said?

Another tough question! I think my favorite female has been Jamie from my debut novel, Talk to Me. Here's a line from her: That'll cost you, big boy.

She's got a great sense of humor and she doesn't put up with the hero's crap. ;-)

If you could take the place of any character, which would it be and why?

I think Jessica, Conner's hero in Impact. Then I'd be traveling with the professional bull riding tour and having wild, hot sex with a smokin' cowboy. Sounds good to me...

Would you consider yourself more a sexy vampire kind of girl or a ruggedly attractive werewolf kind of girl?

Well, although I love The Vampire Diaries Ian Somerhalder and True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard, I'd have to go with the werewolves on this one. I've read the Twilight series and seen the movies, and I'm a Team Jacob girl. And Alcide from True Blood? I'd climb that dude like Mount Everest.

If you could spend a day with a celebrity crush, what kind of story would you write about your experience?
What actually happened, or what you wish had happened?

A smoooookin' hot erotic romance. At least that's what I would hope would happen.

Can you tell us a little about your next project?

The one I'm writing now or the next release? The one I'm writing now is the first in a five-book series I'm targeting the big NY pubs with. That's in the very early stages so there won't be news about it for a while. My next release after Impact is Cold As Ice, Buffalo Intimidators book 2.

Thanks for stopping by! Anything else you'd like to add?

On February 1, 2012 Ellora's Cave will release Impact, a m/f contemporary erotic romance with BDSM elements. It's book 1 in the Buckin' Bull Riders series. Book 2, Collision, will release in the second quarter of 2012.

Professional bull rider Conner Raub hides a secret from the world. He’s a Dom. When he meets a submissive on tour who pulls at his Dom tendencies, he fights to deny his true self, believing his colleagues will condemn his lifestyle.

Jessica Talbot is new to the BDSM scene and the bull riding tour, but after seeing Conner come to the aid of a submissive being mistreated in a club, she sets out to have him for her own. After their first night together she asks him to train her to submit and he refuses, afraid to mix business with pleasure. But Jessica isn’t deterred. She’ll do whatever it takes to make him realize he can have it all—a career, true love, and the BDSM lifestyle he craves.

On December 6, 2011, Loose Id released Caught, a BDSM holiday-themed novella.

When Callie returns to her hometown for the holidays she comes face to face with her old lover and Dominant Jack. She left him three years ago believing he could never be the happily-ever-after man she needed. Yet Jack still wants her and she finds herself wanting to submit to him again.
As Jack and Callie explore their Dominant/submissive relationship, Callie gets drawn deep into Jack’s world all over again. For his part, Jack can’t seem to forget how she nearly ruined him when she took off without even saying good-bye all those years ago, but he’s afraid his baser needs will destroy Callie.
Can Callie give Jack another chance to prove he can be what she needs? Can Jack overcome his own fears and claim Callie forever?

On November 2, 2011, Siren released Book 1 of the Buffalo Intimidators series, Head Games, in ebook form. The print book will release in March 2012. The Buffalo Intimidators series follows a hockey team who have menage relationships. Book 2, Cold As Ice, will release on March 7, 2012.

Leo Laporte and Scott Schaeffer are teammates on the ice and roommates off it who also share women. They’ve been coming into Kelly Chase’s bistro after games for months, and they know they want her. As the attraction grows, the men realize they want more than a one-night stand - they want forever.
Kelly’s not so sure. Yes, she wants both men. But a permanent ménage relationship? That’s taking giving her heart away to a whole new level, and a chance she’s hesitant to take. Then Leo is injured and Scott’s on the trading block, and she realizes this may be her only shot at true, everlasting love.
There are so many questions swirling around inside Kelly’s head. Can she believe in Leo and Scott’s love? And will her business and her reputation survive once people find out she’s with two men?
