Eastside Reads
Hello fellow bloggers, at Eastside College Preparatory in California we have an annual event called Eastside Reads. At this event, the whole school, a total of about three hundred middle school and high school students come out to the quad to get free books. Last years event was a big success and I decided to start planning early because I am in the book community and am a high believer in reading. Kids these days focus on video games all day and I think it's time that we bring back reading! I know that all of you here believe in reading and I know that some of us might have books laying around that they do not need anymore so I am taking donations for the annual Eastside Reads. Any middle school and YA would be so appreciated!
If you have any books that you would be interested in donating (or swag!!! We love swag!!) please feel free to email me at Leilani @ leilanilovesbooks . com
Thank you so much fellow book lovers! Please please spread the word any way you can!
Please feel free to check out Eastside's website to learn more about this incredible school. But in the mean time, let me tell you a little about it. Eastside College Prep is a private fully funded school for minority students coming from low income families. School is 8-5pm every day and all of the students are put to high standards and have incredible teachers who give their personal time to help any student any way possible. Eastside has a number of about three hundred both middle school and high school students. Eastside is lucky enough to have a 100% graduation rate/ acceptance into four year colleges.
