Summary:
A girl with no voice, only one friend, and a synthetic speech machine that makes her sound like a robot--definitely not prom queen material. So traumatized on the night of the car wreck that killed her entire family that she lost her ability to speak and most of her memories, seventeen-year-old Sasha faces a lonely, quiet future...until she meets a beautiful boy who can literally read her mind.

Review:
Just from reading the synopsis, I knew that this was going to be a good story. This debut novel was rightfully said to be a "medical thriller and lyric love story." The dialogue between the characters are real, what you'd think a teen these days would be saying. The emotions going on in this book is a roller coaster ride; I didn't know what to expect at the next turn! The whole book was a huge mystery to me. I thought I knew where it was going to go, but then I didn't. And that's always a good, thing. If you already know where something is going, the journey isn't as fun as it could be.

Sasha' is one of the teens that went through a tragedy, and lost her voice due to it. Now Sasha has to speak through a robotic voice for the rest of her life and is in and out of hospitals. It's not until she meets Ben does she start to see some hope in her life. Ben is able to hear her thoughts. Just as Ben and Sasha's relationship starts to bloom, Ben pulls away from her. Knowing that Sasha is stronger than she is allowing herself to be, Ben is determined to stay away from her until she can speak. Which, Ben knows she can do.

Louder Than Words is a lyrical story told from a both physically and emotionally hurt teenage girl. This book never kept me bored and has a little bit of everything to make is a book that I have to say is a must read. Ben and Sasha save each other, it's not just a one hero kind of book. Both characters are strong, which keeps the story blooming. This book is quite memorable, and I'd recommend it to anyone.
